Kansas City Festival in September looking for an excuse to eat, drink and be merry? Kansas City is hosting its 79th Plaza Art Fair September 24-26 this fall. The festival offers stunning art classes, the culinary creations and live music. The Country Club Plaza become a beautiful outdoor gallery to present the art world. This Kansas City Festival also has three stages with the best local and regional artists will perform throughout the event.

Feel free to bring children to the Kansas City Festival, they can channel their boundless energy on creativity in art workshops for children. The workshop presents the Wonderscope Children’s Museum, with interactive art projects and some take to discover the artist in you! Do not forget to check one of the restaurants in Plaza 30 and shows the fabulous and delicious “cuisine.”

Kansas City Festival light up the city experienced WaterFire Kansas City on Saturday, September 18 along Brush Creek. This concept was originally established in Providence, Rhode Island by Barnaby Evans in 1994 and became more elaborate each year. This is the third year of the installation will be done there and unlike other festivals in Kansas City.

The display begins with a series of ships through the darkness along Brush Creek. Torches in hand, light the braziers firetenders along the stream and put more than 55 floating lights to life. Boats continue to fuel the fire with new wood fire to keep alive sculpture in its original form. The flickering firelight video powerful, with the aroma of wood smoke, and all the sounds of music to create a sensory experience like no other.
